Is primary care physician a general practician ?
Telling him relies on you.
Most GP where I live are not skilled enough to use properly this information or they would probably don't care. It could even blur their mind.
If you tell him and see he doesn't know about it, I would not push, it means he is not interested, and if he is not, he won't understand.
After reading your comments I think I will just mention sometime in the conversation that I'm a highly sensitive person and ask if she's heard of that. If she says no then I will drop it.
Do you like James Bond? I do. Is that why you have 007 on your userid?
I use this nickname since I am a teenager.
I love spy movies and James Bond is I think the movies I started to watch and the movies which made me fall in love with cinema. It made me dream and feel.
I don't watch them anymore, because I may have grown up too much.
Still appreciate having new one so, and it is always a pleasure to watch one.
I'm from Singapore; new to this site. Since young, I have been quite sentimental. I feel touched and cry easily (Grandma's neighbour criticised that I can be actress). About 5 years ago, I get to know about hsp. After knowing that there's a small popular of hsp, I'm glad that I'm not alone in this world.
In Singapore, we would go to psychiatrist for mental health issues (ie. depression, addiction). Agree with nor007, normal GP may not understand.
My husband is the only one who know that I'm a hsp. I dare not make known to others that I'm a hsp, worry that they might think I'm crazy or take advantage of it.
If they think you are crazy or try to take advantage of you, you should not have them in your surrounfing.
I say that because it is an answer I see quite often.
If you want to talk about it, you should do it. I wish I was able to speak about it for people to understand I am not an alien as they called me, but just working in a different way.
It is not easy seeing people keeping distances with you, because you do not care of the same things than lets say regular people.
At least you have your husband, I don't know to whom I could talk about that and writing this reply I was thinking about people in the same situation as me. If you are able to talk, just talk.
Thank you for your advice. Although I have someone to talk with, knowing and understanding are two different aspects Others might hear you with their ears, but not their hearts. DS is the only place where I feel understood by people of similar experience. I'm using the word "similiar" (not "same") because we may be having same traits, yet our mindset and environment can be entirely different.
nor007, I saw some of your replies and feel your positive vibes. I wish to be someone like you one day...
"to people you care about or want to get closer with" Unquote
I'm feeling imbalance... When I show care or get close, I would receive rejection. When I'm happy at this moment, something would happen at next moment to pull me down. Like a magnet, opposite poles attract? Should I continue to show care/ love?
I hope one day i will understand why ! I know we scare other people with our abilities....
