One of the first symptoms of a sluggish thyroid may be elevated triglycerides. This is because when there is a lack of thyroid hormone, our metabolism slows down and these symptoms may occur:

tell me my high cholesterol was due to my lupus....
My thoughts, Is my lupus attacked my thyroid gland in 1999, and weeks after , my cholesterol, shoot up , I can see the relationship !
My total cholesterol, was 244 at my last dr's appointment....
