Trigs I would cut out most sugar and cut out all carbs. Not forever but
just until you get your next labs done and see if it helps.
It can be so frustrating to keep trying different things to be healthy. I'm glad your Cholesterol is good, that is a great plus, mine runs in the 300's
take care Dee.
Drinking good old Ozarka spring water or similar is the best drink on the planet. Since sugar sneaks up in so many beverages.
Cut back or eliminate alcoholic beverages since they spike trigs.
Lastly make sure thyroid hormone levels in the blood are where they need to be. Lack of thyroid hormone raises trigs. BIG TIME.
TSH test is not enough. Need FT4 and FT3.
Increase physical activity.
Thats it in a nutshell.
does for me. But my chol. has never been low [270-320]
Excellent point PixieW. You hit the nail on the head with that one. Sometimes we get so absorbed in treating numbers on a piece of paper, we forget about the well being of the patient.
great, I don't know what my labs are. I'm going by how I feel. My doc
thinks that now I'm feeling good on Armour my lipids should be better.
Well one can always hope.
We did try all the other thyroid meds and for me the Armour was a big
turn around.
My Cholesterol off niacor runs around 300 plus.
I'm glad to hear that about the lady in the nursing home. I have read that the older one gets the less the higher numbers of cholesterol count.
And yes we are all different.
