I'm afraid I am a novice to BP, so will probably be asking for your help :) Sorry that you are feeling so scared ... and not sleeping, that just causes you more stress :(
What 4 meds are you on at present? .. and have they investigated secondary causes at all?
I was getting horrible migraines and sickness with it (though just thought they were migraines) but since being diagnosed with high BP and put on medication these have stopped. I am only on 3 medications (Ramiprile, Amlodipine and Indapamide - a diretic). I am also having investigation into secondary cause (in my case they think it might be an adrenal tumour but still under investigation)
Welcome to the forum :)
I have to say that I didn't think my medicines were doing much good until I had to stop them for tests for two weeks ... then felt really rough and my BP shot up. They have also stopped me having headaches which is a huge bonus for me. However it does sound like different people react differently to the meds.
For me running has been my greatest achievement and help ... believe me when I say that I hated running, and hadn't run since school (so 30 years+) I am also very overweight so started a couch to 5k podcast and although it wasn't easy I have stuck with it for 7 months and it really does help me ... but it's not for everyone.
So sorry to hear your BP is not responding well ... has your doctor suggested anything further?
Take care
Ann-Marie
