I also now have high BP, it was brought on by my constant anxiety (GAD), im on meds but they dont help bring it down any.
I get chest pain but that is strictly from my anxiety.
My BP normally runs at 150/90, with anxiety it can get as high as 200/140 (ER visit).
I have stopped smoking and cut out alcohol and my pressure is now typically 130/80 unless my anxiety is bad and i get up to 170/90.
I exercise heavy duty which helps.
Im hping in another couple of weeks my BP will go down even further.
They do say the longer your BP stays high you can actually do damage to your heart muscle so its best to do everything you can to help lower your BP.
As you can see my (diastolic) bottom number is still high, this is when your heart is at rest which is not good, im afraid it has done some damage and need to get tested.
I am also new to this chest pain high blood pressure. I went to the ER friday by ambulance with chest pain, and tingling in my face. My bp was sky high. I got treated, put in meds and sent home. Over the weekend, I had chest pain on and off, with a severe headache. I went back on Monday to the ER, and they told me to go back to the doctor. I never had chest pain before. It actually work me up at night over the weekend. Any advice I would appreciate.
