Hi, My daughter seems to have her share of vaginal and yeast infections of the groin..... I use diflucan when necessary but are people with HS prone to yeast? She sure is...drives me nuts..... any natural remedies folks that help..... I hate using diflucan alot...... I put coconut oil on the folds of the skin and it seem to help with powder...... just curious if anybody else gets this issue? sorry so personal but am just wondering....Thanks, Tangerinebear xo

I haven't personally had any experiences with yeast and HS, but I came across this site a while back and remembered people believing that HS was linked to overproduction of yeast. I have not heard or seen any other posts linking the two until your post :) Hope this helps... The link to the site is below and I copied a post that related to this.. (unfortunately it is a couple years old - but HS is older than that!)

I too suffer with constant yeast infections. I was taking the AZO and it seem to be helping but I ran out so I have got to get some more before things get worse again.

Give Elisa a about an ounce of coconut oil a couple of times a day. If you can't get her to take it like a shot, mask it in smoothies with her berries, almond milk and some ice. Start slow as if she has massive yeast overgrowth it could cause a mass die off which would make her feel like she has the flu. Also, try incorporating raw garlic into her food some how. I force myself to chew and swallow cloves but I realize that would just be mean for her if she isn't interested. The coconut oil and garlic have antifungal properties which will address the overgrowth. I also take the AZO yeast pills and probiotics everyday. I am beginning to wonder if candida is a major contributor to HS and am on a long term candida detox. It would explain why antibiotic use makes my HS worse and has never had any healing effects for me. The overgrowth manifests itself into a variety of symptoms in people and is so often overlooked by traditional medicine, etc.

Awhile back I had what I thought it was year in my thigh/vaginal crease(??? Guess that's the groin?) But It ended up being the same fungus that causes jock itch in men. I sprayed jock itch needs on a few days and waala it dissapeared! I mean after weeks of it being there!
