HS has always been a issue i had it for 12 years now. Not only is it hard to keep personal relationships but working with it is nearly impossible due to sick days because of treatment and pain. How do you guys cope. Btw im going in for my second major surgery soon,any tips on keeping skin stayed shut.

I had to quit my job bc of the pain. Once I was with co-workers and a boil drained and remind you, it was hot out so it seeped thru my shirt and all i saw was my co-worker staring at my shirt...I lied to her and said "I sweat a lot" bc it was draining from my armpits lol. It's hard to keep a job and keep up with HS...it will drain you--literally.
Relationships can be hard but always be open with your partner.
I had surgery recently...I wish you the best. What I would suggest is don't try to do too much movement...relax and let your body heal. Wish you well on your surgery.

THERE REALLY IS NO EASY WAY WORKING WITH THIS CONDITION... MY GREATEST EXCUSE IS THAT I CUT MY SELF SHAVING IF SOMEONE ASKS ME AT WORK... I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK WITH SURGERY!!!

A lot of bandages and I take "tremedol" for the pain it works pretty good to help me get through

I had my doctor fill out FMLA paper work for me. Since I turned it in my work has been good about my taking time off for my HS.
