I have abscesses all over my body. There isn't a part of me that doesn't get them from time to time and most of my body has them constantly. wearing white shirts is a pain 'cause I never know if I'm gonna start bleeding from one of them. X/

Hi, yeah I feel you! I had to replace my boyfriend white T because I ruined them, it so hard to take the stains out! but HUMIRA is working wonders.. wonders!! Feeling very very positive about it!!

I may have to see if a doc will prescibe me that stuff. I just need to find someone that will. As I stated, the docs around here worry about law suits and side effects so much that some won't even scribe simple pain medication for me. Had to fight one physician just to get 800mg ibuprofen one time. XD

Hey, I'm new here. I stumbled across your post and I was wondering how frequently do you have to do the humira shot? My doctor wanted me to try it, but she couldn't confirm how often I would need to take it or if there were any risk to taking it should I get pregnant (That's an entire different story in itself lol). I'm at the point in my HS where I'll try pretty much anything because nothing is working very well anymore.

so for me i'm 190 lbs. it was 2 shots of 80mg the first day then 2 shots of 80mg the second day. then every 15 days 1 shot (40mg). Im scared too about the side effects or if i become pregnant or want to become pregnant. but so far so good. i dont want to take it every 15 days, im going to see how far i can go with out a shot before i brake out again. I dont trust medication even though it is working wonders but im oldschool and this is tooo sketchy. I tried to find some studies based on humira and i couldnt find anything (scholary journals or peer reviewed) and nothing!.

Thanks for the reply! I'm curious about the pain from the shot. I guess it's easy enough for you to administer it yourself. Did your insurance cover the cost if the medicine or did you have to come out of pocket?

Good luck on your Humira I have been on it for two years now and some days are better than others, but my last resort was surgery and that is planned for Oct. I think that once I get that done and continue the stronger antibiotics they gave me and the Humira that things will be good for me.

I wish you luck much luck and allow it to heal.. i swear i didnt (underarms), take the time and let things heal dont start moving around or stretching.. but i wish you the best of luck!!
