stage 3 of hs in my buttocks

I,M going to the doctor on wednesday and i,m going to tell her i have stage 3 of hs in my buttocks and i have been having bad nights when i cant sleep.and whats bad is the drainage the wound up my buttocks keeps draining and its messing up my pants i put pads up there to stop the drainage and this is just bad on me. and when i go to the doctor i,m going to ask for some pain sleeping meds and a medicine for the drainage i hope everything goes well and i will be ok.

Glad to see you get to see a doctor. I know in some places, depending upon the insurance you have, the doctor can also get bandages ordered for you that might would better help in your problem areas. Mine just ordered tegaderm bandages for me, as they are so much easier on my poor skin that traditional over the counter stuff..you can get tegaderm over the counter on your own, but it is kinda pricey, but if you doctor can get it ordered as "prescribed care" then depending upon insurance, some will cover it.
Don't be afraid or ashamed to show the doc all. If they can't handle it..find another who can. Remember to be your own best advocate, fight for you. Let them know what you have tried that didn't work, that way they don't have you trying junk you have already been there and done that. No sense in back pedaling.

I have bad HS on my buttocks too...l.to the point that I have had doctors say that it wasnt HS because it was in the "unexpected" place. It sucks. I'm sorry. For me, I just had to "shop around" for a doc that took my HS seriously. It sucks though, no doubt. I deal with butt drainage and pain all the time. Sorry you have to do the same :(

have been suffering with hs for more than 20 years, and I had hs on my upper buttock, left fold area. Every morning my husband would place a gauze and band-Aid over the area to catch the drainage. One day I went to the health food store and purchased neem soap on a whim (smells badly but it worked). After a few washes I notice the hs stopped draining, stop itching, and began to heal. Unbelievable. Im not saying that it will not return but for now I have been happy with the results that the neem soap has given me. So happy that I went and purchased the oil and used it at night. The smell is to horrid to use during the day while at work. Smells of garlic and peanuts.Go to the web and do some research. I know what worked for me may not bring you satisfaction but give it a try you never know/ best wishes.
