i have stage 3 and have gotten to the point where i cant get out of bed without help.on 3/10/15 i had skin exscision of my left armpit and waist line. Anyone will to have the surgery i strongly recomend it. not every one has the ability to be seen by the mayo clinc but if you do they do a wonerful job and it is fast. was only there about 3 hours. i had 8 peices excised and largest being 28cm x 5cm. i feel better now than i did before the surgey on diluadid. i got a new chance at a somewhat normal life! ive tried over 30 diferent antibiotics and other drugs including humira. i urge you to look into it!
they used the same thing to numb as for lipo suction. i have 7 foot ball shaped spots in my armpit area and got a tummy tuck pretty much. around 70 stitches. the down side to this is that recovery for the first few days is very painful. i had it bad because the active nodules and scar tissue did not get numbed by the lidocane and lipo numbing stuff. so it was the worst pain ive ever felt in my life. i was crying like a baby and im 6'2'' amd 280lbs lol the mayo clinic took picture of before and after and i will post them when i get them from them :)
