Scars and Intimacy

I take turmeric pills and rub aloe on my affected areas, which are my buttocks and inner thighs/groin. I've had less breakouts, but the scars seriously bother me.. They're so dark and it makes me more insecure than I already am. Does anyone know of a way to lighten them? I'm 18 and I'm ready to be intimate, I'm just scared of whoever I do it with might think of my body. Especially since it's THAT area. He's gonna feel all the bumps, scars, and see it. Maybe I just need to hear about others' experiences with it. Were your partners understanding?

The more you pick, prod etc, the worse they will get. But vitamin E did help with some scarring for me.

I could give you a BS story that they aren't noticable, but they are..

BUT in my dating life- I'm 32- I have only ever had one guy be "grossed out" by them. The rest have just been happy to be there-- I do let people know beforehand usually- and the right partner will be understanding.

Plus, I do promise you that the corny idea that they look worse to you is 100% accurate.

I use retinol, i just started it im hoping it works bcus I'm a light skin and the scars are very dark almost purplish.

It's best if you tell the guy first about them. That's gives him a chance to think about sticking around or not instead of him seeing & being grossed out. I'm 20 & only 1 guy has ever been grossed out about it. I have a boyfriend I've been with for 3 years & he doesn't mind them at all. He even helps me when I have the breakouts so you'll find someone I promise. Also hiblicens soap should do you some justice it helps with the inflammation & healing.
