I have a recurring flare up on my left side of my groin. It comes back almost three times a month. The last time it busted, but literally only bled a few spots. It's very uncomfortable because I think there might be more than one in that same area and they flare all at once. They turn very hard. When I wear underwear it's so uncomfortable, i cant sit for too long or walk long distances. I have thick thighs and that makes it so much harder. I don't knw what to do about it. Please can someone help?
Vinegar baths-pour 1 -2 cups white vinegar in a clean bathtub full of warm water. Hop in and soak the affected area for 30+ minutes swishing the water around the area every so often. If you have one of those large tubs, add more vinegar. Hop out and pat dry. The vinegar helps dry things up & kills germs and the warm water helps soothe the pain. You can do this as often as you like.
2) Drain the lesion-you can go to the doctor or do it yourself. I do it myself. I alcohol swab the area and a straight pin, I then gently insert the tip of the pin in the largest pore of the lesion. You will usually feel a little pop. Then remove the pin and gently squeeze the spot to drain it. Alcohol swab the fluid away until no more fluid comes out when squeezed. If there is more than 1 in there you'll likely drain the other one at the same time so don't be surprised if the fluid changes back and forth in color. Keep the area clean and dry- wash with antibacterial soap. Repeat as needed (I usually drain 1x a day for 1-3 days depending on how many times the spot fills back up with fluid.) you can do the vinegar baths before and/or after draining.
