Hello all. I've been dealing with HS for about 9yrs now. I try to control my diet and manage it as best I can. As you all relate to, there are good days and bad days, or bad days and better days quite honestly. Today is a bad day. For weeks I've been oozing so much at night once I remove my bandages, that I can't sleep sound. I'm soooo over this. My day began with thoughts of how I wish I could just be dead and despite my efforts it's not going away. Intellectually and even spiritually, I know this is wrong, but I'm still human and I really just want to be free of this misery. ..ugh!

When I have bad flare ups that ooze at night I take a shower to help relax and feel clean and then I put antibiotic ointment on the flare up and usually tissue cause my tracts can get quote large. The ointment helps the flare up not stick to the bandage or whatever you use and it soothes it and I also take a bit of ibuprofen or anyou other type of NSAID medicine cause it helps with the swelling and relieves the pain! I hope this helps you find some relief!

Reading your post is as if someone is literally reading my mind. I've literally had those same thoughts at least twice today. Both of my armpits have gaping oozing holes in them. I pray you find some relief soon.

I'm so very sorry! There's NOTHING easy about living this disease. .NOTHING! Do you use non stick bandages? I use the Band-Aid brand by Johnson and Johnson. I apply various ointments to the pad itself, and then adhere them to the site with medical tape. Yes, a process indeed, but a must in order to get dressed every day! It's always a relief to get all that junk off at the end of the day! I wear no basages at night because I need to relax and have my pits air out, so I sleep on top of a bed pad/chuck.

Every day can be different mentally and physically, but you're entitled to have and acknowledge your bad days! When you feel stronger, you'll continue to fight with the rest of us. Don't give up!

I'm helped by the following in case you didn't know and would like to try :

Verrry low sugar /carbdiet
Tumeric
Krill oil capsules
Double strength Bactrim when necessary
Kale
Vitamin e oil for topical moisturizer after showers (soothing and can apply without touching sensitive area, which I very rarely do. I even suds my washcloth with antibacterial soap and then squeeze it over my pits to avoid touching it)
