Hi I've been living with h.s for 10years. I've had 3 surgeries. I've never meet anyone with h.s ..... H.s is affecting my life. I'm depressed and always wondering why me. I have two kids to live for. I've been on every antibiotic that you can think of. I live in Chicago I can't find the right doctor to do the surgery. My love life is falling apart i can't work because of h.s I'm always in pain.

does anyone live in Chicago that can help me find the right doctor????

i wish i can help you, but i can tell you that surgeries are not an answer.
my new doctor that i'm with for the last 7 to months calls the surgery as a last hope for the stubborn one,
you just have to find the doctor that will treat you based on you, every person has different triggers, and you have to notice how it is changing on daily basis, the doctor will only see how you will respond to treatment.
as for me the number one trigger is suppressed sadness, the other day i got a chocking news that broke my heart, the boy that i love was out with another girl, during the day i felt pain in my bowls and got flares even in ones that i thought they were dried and healed, now everything back to normal specially after he told that the girl was engaged

Well recently the only thing the doctor throw at me is clindamycin and surgery. I've been looking at other people's post I saw that there getting anti inflammatory med and different meds that I have never been introduced 2

exactly, you can't just stick to one medication, eventually your body will get defensive, if you want read my posts and see how my doctor is treating me, but remember each body reacts differently to medication so don't take anything on your own without the doctor's knowledge... and talk to your doctor tell him you're not comfortable with antibiotics or surgery, it's your right to deny any treatment you don't like, and his job to make you feel better, and if he acts like he knows it all just find another doctor, my doctor is telling me if we reach a point when i'm no longer getting better he will transfer me to another, the good doctor is the one that doesn't pretend to be perfect

I Have been living with HS for many years I have had 3surgeries and let me tell you it has made a world of difference. Also get Your hair waxed in specific sensitive areas when in the best condition of course (after a round of strong antibiotics.).and keep up with it Find someone to talk to.get a person who is xmcaring and can try to understand what your going through. I know this condition can truly be devastating.but as you get older and out of puberic stages it does get better.. XO from someone who knows. M J.
