I am also fairly newly diagnosed. I think I received the diagnosis several months ago, but have been dealing with what we believed were abscessed areas of cellulitis for a few years prior. My immune system isn't great, I do get sick easily, but normally I can deal with that, just takes a bit longer. I keep getting the sores in the same two places, the crook of my right arm, and my left armpit. It occasionally happens in the right as well, but those two are clearly my biggest problem areas. I also have been diagnosed with folliculitis, where I was using hibiclense to keep that under control. I obviously suspect now that what they thought, is just this, still.

I work from home, luckily, but I do find that this is having a negative impact on my depression. I normally deal with that and anxiety anyway, but whenever I get these sores I feel so self conscious, especially with one area as visible as it is. I worry people are judging me as being gross or something. I am avidly clean, have to be really, and it makes no difference, which I wish people could understand. I also get pretty embarrassed when they break open, because I worry others might notice the smell. It's horribly painful when it happens, and makes sleeping impossible. I find naproxen and weed kind of help, but overall though the pain gets to be pretty bad. I can't move or lift things when it happens, and I will having shooting pain in a couple directions even when still, making me think that nerves often get pinched under some of the pus. Sorry to rant a little, figured I would do a brief introduction to what I've dealt with.
