Hey, I'm new to this site. I've been suffering from HS since I was 11 years old. I was hoping for some advice. I just started a new job in which I'm constantly outdoors so I sweat and I'm faced with humidity on a daily basis since I'm in Miami. Since I've started this job, my skin has worsened incredibly. There's more irritation, more flare ups and I'm in so much pain. I'm trying to tolerate this job since I don't really like jumping from job to job. But it's gotten so bad that at times I can't walk. I've always been pretty good at managing it by staying away from certain foods like dairy products and sugars. I would avoid any stress or activities that I knew would aggravate it. I take supplements and my hygienic routine is great. I don't know whether I should try looking for another job and I'd want to quit now but it'd look really bad
I agree with the hot and humid weather. Summers are brutal on me too, this one was the worst (probably because I have a long commute and the AC in my car broke!) and I couldn't do any of my normal activities.
Stick in there and try to find a new position in the indoors, preferably with AC!
