I find that stress sets off flares for me.
However, I'm getting ready to revamp my diet anyway. (Diabetic and trying to eat keto-style)
I've looked at various autoimmune diets. I think I tend to eat that way for the most part. (or maybe my imagination) Is there a particular one you are using?
I was thinking of doing the hardcore version of no nuts/seeds, no alcohol, no nightshades, legumes, soy, gluten and dairy. The last time I did it I went into full remission, but it's obviously so difficult to live like that. There's still something in my diet that is causing drama, and I guess it's better to sort it now rather than later (oh the damn scars.)
Let me know if you're interested in giving it a crack, or even if you were to do a different version and we could exchange notes?
