Ok this might be a repeat of another post, i didnt want to take the time to go through all of them. So, If a person lives "healthy", by that I mean doesnt smoke, eats right, etc, would they still have HS?
What about people that do live healthy and still have HS?
Is it really a matter of how we live that depends on HS?
Or is it really just unavoidable, kinda of like cancer sometimes is?

It's completely unavoidable. I've always eaten healthy, all my life. I've exercised. Done everything that a person is supposed to do, and I still have HS. When I got my first cyst, I was 12. I didn't start smoking until I was 18, and that was because I was so stressed out over the HS. HS is an autoimmune disease, like arthritis. Some people get it and others don't. It is genetic however, so more than likely someone in your family had it, whether or not you know about it. I'm not sure who had it in my family.

THere may be certain things that can help your HS not outbreak and flare so much, but healthy or not, you can not cure it. It is unavoidable. I know a lot of people who are a size 2 and live very healthy who have stage 3. You either have it or you don't. :(

Sadly yes. I am one of those people. I eat right, don't smoke, don't drink, don't do any drugs accept my blood pressure med. It doesn't seem to matter at all. Truly unavoidable.

I think being healthy allows you to better deal with the trauma of HS. When you eat properly and exercise your body works better and your mind is probably clearer but it does not alter whether or not you have HS. I exercise even though I know it will often cause a flare up as I would rather have some pain than feel unhealthy and more than likely gain a lot weight.

I don't believe its about under weight or over weight . This mess hits all of us. I do believe that we half to have beter diets. But alot of times we just get toxed. Its the natural herbs that detox us to help us to balance out.
The news is taking notice to all of this thats going on where skin infections are concerned. ANd they are putting out some good info. I believe befiore its over we will turn to fruits and veg. ANd keeping our bodys as free as possible from toxed chemicals in our foods and ex.

There was an article that said: that the results were not good. Also you can look up the pads online and read a few of the articles wrote. I believe that the article was saying that some brands are not as potent as they are supose to be. Hope this helps.
