So I have a crazy question. I have been drinking the juice of 1 lemon a day for over a month (I had pneumonia when I started drinking it and tons of green tea). I don't know if it's helping my HS, but I'm not any worse.
BUT there is something different. Not with my HS, but with my acne on my face and the texture of my skin. My face is clearing up, and my skin everywhere is softer. A LOT softer.
I Googled it and it's a thing. It is known to help acne. But something else I found is people use it topically as a toner.
So a week ago I started using it 1 time a night on my face as a toner. And my acne scars are fading. And my skin has not broken out at all (knock on wood), even when it was my time of the month. I usually get at least 1 terrible breakout a month.
So my question is this. What about lemon juice as a topical application for HS? I know HS and acne are different things. But lemon juice is anti inflammatory with anti-bacterial properties. Thoughts?
Also if anyone tries this don't go out in the sun with lemon juice on your skin. It doesn't react well.

Glad it's helping you! Give it a try. Anything anti-inflammatory seems to be helpful in dealing with HS. I'm gonna go ahead and assume you don't plan on putting it on open wounds... ow
