Good luck. I know how tough that is. I went through many drs & actually diagnosed myself after a lot of research. Then just trying to find a Dr that heard of it. I had some pretty bad experiences before I finally found a doctor that was great. It's so hard though. I've explained this disease (and spelled it) to so many drs and nurses. Now when I say it & get the blank stare, I just say nevermind & move on. I pray you find a good one soon.

That list is very nice.....for people in those areas, however none for Minnesota or North Dakota. I had that Derm appointment and she didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, that too bad the condition isn't curable and to continue taking doxycycline.
I better find a good doc soon that agrees with this being dibilitating because I have a CDR (continuing disability review) in two years, which I know is a ways off yet but probably will take that long just to find a supportive doc.
Also the Derm recommended excision, which my last doc didn't agree with, citing that the procedure isn't a cure all and can have the possibility of making things worse. I'm more inclined to believe that and refuse to make things worse for myself than it already is.
I know a lot of others have the surgeries done and what not, but it is just not something I can subject myself to nor afford.

Good news, went to my doc today and asked her if she believes I'm disabled from HS and she said yes! Citing that she will help me through disability reviews! Yay! Now I can stop stressing out.
