So I finally got my armpits removed and its been hard but my infection was really bad! They had to remove 3 of my lymph nodes out of my Left arm! The doctor said that no punt of medication could have ever cured me! In this day and age I see this being the only cure... I've had this for 10 years and it's finally over

Hello!! Im glad this terrible and painful ordeal is finally over for you. I have HS on both of my armpits (really bad), I was going to have surgery but i was turn down due to infection. May i ask if they did skin graf on you?

Im really tired of taking meds after meds, I really want to have surgery and get this over with, Im sick and tired .. I miss the old me! I want to enjoy life like i use to!

My infection was very active during my surgery and my doctor still did it! The packing she used has antibiotics on it! I get those taken out on Wednesday! No skin graph... She just sewed me up in the crease of my arm! If you look at my profile picture you can see how much she cut off

I see, your dr took a lot... How long was the surgery? And thanks, I really thought it was impossible for someone not to the surgery due to an infection, i will most def talk to my doctor about this. I have less drainage than I use too.. How long is your recovery time?

The surgery was 2 1/2 hours and recovery is 6 weeks

Also my doctor said NO AMOUNT OF MEDICATION COULD HAVE CURED ME! I had cultures done 2 weeks ago and already the meds had stopped working! Surgery is the only option! Just find someone that can pronounce the condition and go from there!

I had both my armpits done in 2005 and it was the best thing I could've done! I had nothing for 8 years and the past 2 years, I've gotten maybe 5 bumps. I consider that a success! Hope you end up as well as I did!
