Hi, im 22 and have been suffering with hs since i was around 15, but wasn't diagnosed with it until a couple of years ago, ive been to the doctors numerous amounts of times with these, and all they seem to do is give me antibiotics, they don't work! as soon as my course stops hs comes back! i currently have them under my left arm constantly, and upper thighs and have also had them in my right armpit and groin. is there any other treatments other than antibiotics i could try? the doctors dont seem to offer me any other treatments and have not done any tests etc..

Sadly, there isn't much that will work for it, and it's true that antibiotics do diddly squat for it. I went to a doctor who's only answer to me was "IT IS WHAT IT IS"....Boy did I want to just kick him where the sun don't shine.'
All you can do is try to keep yourself clean, dry, and pain free....try some over the counter Motrin, which I find works great for my Labia wounds. Apply gauze/tape to them, so the draining won't irritate your skin.....Salt water helps me a lot, so I am looking forward to the beach, as well as swimming in the pool. Some people find help going on specific diets, but I have not.; Surgery works sometimes, but for me it takes a hell of a long time, 3 to 5 years of healing time.
See if you can find a specific doctor who actually specializes in HS...also very hard to find in my area either. I wish you luck.

Yep...sadly but true their is little you can do and most doctors really donot know how to heal it outside of surgery and the con to that is they only can operate on your infected areas one at a time and ot take 3-6 months to heal from surgery. Im infected under both arms, waist, groin, panty line trailing down to inside and outside of my butt. BUT my brother looked up a clinic designed for HS...just for us. The thing is they are only located in like 5 states and they only accept certain insurances and they do laser surgery with a less thst 2% on it recurs BUT ITS 4000 and insurance do not cover. Im looking into going because no surgeon will operate on me because the infection is to badand Ive been on antibiotic for a year and still nothing.
