"I think the most improvement I've had with my HS has been by changing my diet. I've tried A LOT of things to try and suppress it. Turmeric, Zinc, Tea Tree Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Manuka Honey, countless creams, etc. Those things have mostly been good for post-outbreak for me to heal the boils or bring them to a head. Cutting out nightshades and dairy has helped me tremendously. Recently, I've read a lot about gluten and HS and the similarities between Celiac Disease and HS. That's where my road is now. A gluten-free, dairy-free, nightshade-free eating lifestyle. You need to find what works for you since everyone's body is different. Keep a journal and write what you eat down. Outbreaks typically happen within 24-72 hours for me after eating a "trigger" food. I've had HS since I was around 12 - I'm now 30. Don't feel discouraged. We're here for you. <(^_^<) Message us. :)"
