I too recently found out that I have Hypothyroidism.. that also helps explain my weight gain I think.. lol. It also causes extreme feeling of fatigue.. so that would help explain you other post. There is medication available to treat it, talk to your doc.

i was taking synthroid but when i moved to a different state the doctor here took me off it saying i dont have it anymore because my blood work was normal. which im skeptical because i was told i would have hypo for the rest of my life, also the fact that this doctor has not wanted a follow up after taking me off the meds???

Your doctor is wrong.. hypothyroidism NEVER goes away. WE have to take medication for it the rest of our lives. I would demand another blood test, and probably get a different doctor.. you will NEVER get better going to see someone who doesn't give a tinkers damn about you. You need a doctor who will help you and WANT to help you get better.

I was tested and don't have it, wish I did, I'd have an excuse for being fat as hell.

My half sister has HYPER thyroidism. She had to have hers completely irradiated (killed off). She is SUPPOSED to be on synthroid for the rest of her life, but she hasn't taken it in YEARS and she gets the aliens from time to time, but not bad. I don't have either though.
See another doc, you really should be on synthroid or another suitable replacement. Sounds like he's as useful as tits on a boar hog..lol

I have had HS since puberty and after having a child my thyroid totally crapped out. The doctor thinks that I have always had a thyroid problem that was undiagnosed. My grandfather had parathyroid cancer, Aunt has hypo and a goiter, mom had growths all over hers and hashimotos, uncle had thyroid cancer and hypo. Let's just say it runs in the family.
