I'm sorry that you are feeling overwhelmed and it's understandable that you would be. It sounds like you're in the middle of a flare up. I'm sorry that you are hurting so bad, if I could take away your pain I would. I would talk to a different doctor if I were you, because you've voiced you're concerns and she is basically ignoring them and ultimately not helping you feel better. A few years ago before my HS was a bad as it is now, a doctor told me I had mrsa. And shaving is a nightmare so are bras. A hot compress will help on ones that hurt particularly bad sometimes, talk to your doctor, tell them about the amount of pain you are in and that it's affecting your mental and physical health, I'd just try to make sure they understand how much it's hurting you, I hope that you get the feeling better You can do it, the fact that you are balancing you're whole life and HS is already showing your admirable strength is a sucky condition no sugar coating it, but I hope that you can find a way to manage it, please take care.

Thank you. I'm already trying to get help for my mental illnesses and then this. I feel like they pop up back to back and I feel like I haven't had a break in the pain in a very long time. I was going to ask her to refer me to a dermatologist, would that help? I just keep breaking down crying because I feel like I just have so so much weight on my shoulders with all my health issues, and I'm a stay at home and I can't even properly play with my little girl. It breaks pieces of my soul each day. I'm sure that sounds dramatic but it feels true. From what I found doing research, I seem to be stage 3. My breasts and armpits have many scars and it gives me so much shame.

Well first off that doesn't sound dramatic at all and you do have alot on your shoulders. I would get her to refer you to a dermatologist because they are more familiar with HS, so yes for sure. I understand what you mean about not getting a break from the pain I don't remember the last time either. I'm in stage three also, there is no cure but I have hope that if you have the right doctor you will be able to have a good treatment plan, and regain you're life back, play with your little girl and if this dermatologist doesn't help go to the next one, you should never give up. not on yourself, if you wanna see something to be ashamed of you should see my body don't feel bad though, You're body is just as beautiful with scars as it is without them. You already are making the right steps by trying to find a solution never give up, keep fighting for you, for you're little girl, I understand things are hard right now, but you're strong and I have faith in you.

I have had HS for a long time now and tried so many different things to get it to go away. I had days for life was just to hard to juggle and I would stay in bed as long as I could but I had children and had to work. I wanted to let you know I have been on an essential oil regimen for almost 4 years and my HS is under control and sometimes I forget I even have it. Hssucks: I'd love some info. I've never used eo or those vitamins. I'm just on an extremely tight budget but I just want some relief. I just took a shower and it was incredibly painful. I'm worried because we're having a snow storm and we have about 10-12 inches. I'm worried my appointment will be cancelled tomorrow. :(

Jennifer, I am so incredibly sorry. I can relate to you Bec I too have sores under my arm and groin area. It's so hard to sleep, move or even pick up my toddler son. This disease is very dibilitating and emotionally draining. Please know that you are not alone. I have been doing a lot of research on my own since all doctors want to just prescribe antibiotics that are just a babdaid. The root of the problem is never looked at. This is an autoimmune disease that can go into remission. You just need to find your triggers. Going gluten dairy and process-food free has been helpful. I also follow the Paleo diet. Staying away from nightshades is helpful as they can be a triggger. It's like your own science experiment on yourself. I read a book called The Hidden Plague by Tara Grant where she herself has the disease. She has been in remission for 9 years. I believe a lot goes into what we eat. It could cause leaky gut also known as intestinal permeability. Google it. Also know that this fight is doable and your daughter, like my 6 year old daughter, will see your determination and drive to feel better and fight against this horrible disease, not only for yourself but for your family. I too have days or moments where I think the disease has defeated me but with support of family and friends and even doctors, there is a way to go into remission. It's not easy, it's a lot of work but I feel that I will get there and so will you.

Thank you! I'm trying to eat healthier. I plan to try and read that book. Thank you for your help and tips and support. I'm tired all the time and my appointment today was cancelled. We got close to 12 inches of snow and the clinic is closed until probably Tuesday :(
