Since shaving is a trigger for me I am wondering if any of you have tried waxing, or permanent hair removal. If so what specific thing did you get done and did it cause more problems?

Have any of you had breast lift/augmentation? Did it cause more problems or outbreak near the scare tissue? Any information would be appreciated.

Leonessa,
Try laser hair removal. Many have had good results with this. It's not a cure all, but it's helped me reduce outbreaks/ irritation.

Thanks for your reply sjane. Do you know if anyone has had a bad reaction to laser hair removal? Are there some good resources that you know of to get more information on it?

There have been clinical trials that have shown improvement in patients with HS using laser hair removal. Some people have even been successful getting insurance to cover it. I bought a groupon / living social deal and treated my underarms. It's not a cure, but it's helped me, and anything that helps is worth looking into, I think!

Is laser hair removal permanent?

I have friends that say they have very slow amount of hair growth if any after getting Laser Hair Removal. They also say it takes a few rounds and it is important to go to someone good. I am thinking it would be good to get it done while things are not BAD under my arms and possibly bikini area. I think it would be hard to get it done once you have soars that are open and draining all the time. I have also notice where I have had a soar open and draining and there is hair the infection is worse and healing MUCH slower. The only thing I am worried about it the removal process triggering or making a problem where the is not one. Anyone have any experience with this?
