so ever since i can remember, ive had HS and also have had a pretty extreme amount of hair loss. i went to my doc and he said that the hair loss may be linked to HS. has anyone else had problems with hair loss on your head??? im not talking about a little bit of hair loss either; i think i shed more than my german shepherd!

I havent had hair loss on my head. But when one pops up on my face, I lose the hair on my beard.

I haven't had a problem with hair loss, but I have heard of people who have. Both hair loss and HS are associated with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

I recommend that you have a doctor measure your hormone levels.My physician found that my hormone levels were out of whack, I went on Spironolactone (aka Aldactone) and within weeks my hormones were balanced and my HS was gone..

i loose quite a lot of hair but notto the extreme of having bald patches i never thought it could be related to hs but maybe it is how extreme a hair loss are we talking about mine comes out in hand fulls xxx

my hair isnt falling out in patches, just alot of hair when i run my hand through it, or when i brush my hair. alot more than usual.

I don't loose hair. But when I have long hair I felt like I lost a lot. Don't think it is linked.

I have just started having quite a bit of hair thinning. No bald spots though. Also I have noticed that my hair (specifically my legs) is hardly growing at ALL.

i have a a lot of hair loss but only when i wash my hair and that i clumps but no bald patches i always thought this was strange too and my has only been in the past year

In fact I just go out the bath and noticed a lot more hair than usual was comming out of my head! When I gathered it, it was whole handfull of hai!
