Hidradenitis suppurativa (hi-drad-uh-NIE-tis sup-yoo-ruh-TIE-vuh) is rare, long-term skin condition that features small, painful lumps under the skin. I was diagnosed when I turned 30 years old and I’ve been miserable ever since. The cyst that I have are under both of my arms at the moment. The only surgery I have gotten done is when they open it and drain it if you consider that surgery. After reading people stories about going through multiple surgeries its very discouraging to read especially for someone that has never had a broken bone in her body. Menstrual cycles are when I get the most flares.
When I get off work today I will defiantly go pick me up some Manuka/MediHoney Honey and incorporate that in my daily routine. Thank you very much, I really hope that takes care of the flares.
Warm towels for me unfortunately don’t work for me nor do hot baths I’ve heard it works with most so I’m glad that works for your granddaughter. I’ve never taken a PM pill (I hate taking pills if I didn’t have to take ibuprofen I wouldn’t at all) but it’s the only pill that’s helped me with the pain honestly.
Dermoplast is a pain-relieving spray is mentholated and provides soothing and refreshing relief from the pain. I use it when I have a really bad episode it works for me but doesn’t take the pain completely away 100%. It helps me get through my work day followed by Ibuprofen. I’ve also tried Hibiclens (Chlorhexidine Topical) which fights bacteria I use it in the shower it helps clean the cyst to prevent infection, I picked that up in a group I was in but I like to use things for a month before I judge it.
Thank you for your information I appreciate you taking the time I really do. Good luck to you and your granddaughter and May God Bless you both, thanks again.
