I had my under arm glands removed a little over 10 years ago thinking it would cure my HS. I didn't have any signs of it anywhere else at that time. I went about a year thinking everything was great until the signs showed up again in my groin region. I was devastated. It seemed like it just moved to another area. Basically I am just letting everyone know that is you think surgery is the answer, its not. I thought it was too but it just started up somewhere else. My only solution without taking meds and hurting my body more is to keep the area as clean and dry as possible. Sometimes I apply triple antibiotic on a sore and cover it with a band aid and it helps heal it faster.

I also use a triple antibiotic to sooth. My doctor advised against this because it's a sensitive area (groin) and suggested aquaphor which seems work just as well. I am trying to work towards laser hair removal, but have to wait until it clears up. While I don't have high hopes, I am hoping that I see some improvement.
I am trying not to jump ahead of myself, but it is hard not to. I am terrified that this will spread to other areas and it gives me anxiety. It's one of those things where I want to know, but I don't want to know.
