I have suffered for years with 'boils' and finally have a doctor that said I have HS. She put me on clindamycin and scheduled me an appointment with a surgeon. I'm now doing some research on this. Glad to see a Support Group like this...and have been reading some of the messages. By the time I see the surgeon, I'll have a ton of questions.

It may not seem it but you are lucky to be diagnosed, many people go through their whole lives suffering and never know what they have, but now you know its HS you can make moves to treat it. Are you seeing any results with the antibiotics? Unfortunately they didn't do much for me but hey thats just me, one thing Ive learned about this condition is that different things work for different people.

Its good you are doing your research though, there is quite a bit online nowadays. I suggest sites like http://curehidradenitissuppurativanow.com as a very good stat and source of information, you can learn alot there such as causes, symptoms and different natural treatment methods etc.

Thank you Betty01. Have only been taking clindamycin for about 4 days, so can't see much difference. Will be taking it for 10 days. Thank you for the link. I want to learn all I can before seeing the surgeon, so I know what to ask.
