Feeling helpless

Hello everyone, 


I am new to the group. I found this website looking online trying to find some answers about a condition I was diagnosed with. I’ve had HS since I was 13 years old. I’m 24 now. I wasn’t diagnosed until about 4 years ago. Emotionally I’m drained. I can remember being 13 and I started getting them under my arms first. I mean it was literally going from my right arm pit to my left then back to my right. The groin area as well, and it’s like they were all coming at the same time. I’ve played basketball my entire life and trying to play In pain really sucks. Fast forward. . I go off to college to play basketball and they seem to get worst. I was at the Clinic every 2-3 weeks it seemed like. I finally got used to getting the ones under my arm pit drained. . & then they begin to come on my the crack of my butt. The pain is indescribable. Like you can’t sit down on anything without being in pain. And then getting them drained. . Well fast forward. . I recently had one drained on my butt 3 Days ago and now it’s back in the same spot. I can’t beleive this. I have my birthday trip planned in 3 Days and this is what I’m dealing with. . . The worst thing for me is the pain of getting them drained. Even after the numbing medicine. I hate my life some days, most days.

hang in there, i was lucky to be diagnosed in less then a year but doesn't help the treatment much, it helps emotionally, at least i knew right away im not the only one and nothing is wrong with since there is no cure and drs still dont know the cause
here's what i do hope it helps u in time for your bday
ask your dr for the right acne antibiotics to reduce flaring, clean it as wound and put bandage on it so it drains without leaving a mess on your cloths but be careful of tape, i use this method on my armpits tape always rip of my skin, wear cotton loose cloths better for the pain and to keep it cool, press it with cold bottle of water dont use ice it's unbearable, try a hot bath also help to drain it if you cant sit hot shower and keep the water on it for a while, weird that both hot and cold but they help, cold is for the pain and hot to help it drain... and the best you can do just ignore the pain and enjoy your day dont let it distract you

Pain meds anitabtics and you csn do the hot tub with estom salt and a lil achool the one that you put on your skin but for now go to the store and get aleve and advil it will hep with the swelling but please go to a pain specilist or ask them for something stronger

Hey, I'm trying to get the word out about what I just discovered! Drinking a TON of Cranberry juice every single day stopped the reoccurring cycle of my HS. I am no longer in pain and I feel great. I don't know if this will work for you and I'm not saying this is not a cure but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

P.S When I stopped drinking the Cranberry Juice, the HS started back up again so I started drinking it again and it stopped
