I am speaking for my husband..HE is presently taking this medication..This med make him drains consistently fom his lesions..and a horrible foul smell..All meds aere for temporary releif..Nothing is permanent..

I am taking clindamycin for an unrelated abscess. It is also helping my HS, at least at the moment.

I am using Clindamycin gel twice daily. I just apply it to the affected area. I have been using it for 2 months. I have noticed a significant change in the severity of breakouts. :) It has been a miracle product for me!

This is a dangerous drug...it is THE "go to" drug for major infections (phemonia, etc)
My mother had a near fatal reaction to it.
If you have HS, you should have lesion (alien) cultured by Dr. to see if you NEED antibiotics. Otherwise HS, is not really treated with anitbiotics.
Hot baths, epsom salts, diet change, no smoking, hot compresses and SURGERY for stage II and up. CLINAGEL, is GREAT for open/draining lesions.
