Hi. I am 55 years old and have sporadic cysts all my life, but it got pretty severe about 5 years ago (menopause). I began researching and about 3 years ago, I learned that I had hs. I went to the dermatologist who confirmed this.  I read everything that I could find online. I eliminated night shades (30 days), no change. Tried same with dairy, gluten, nothing. So I cut way down on my calories without eliminating  (maybe averaging 1200 but not counting). As the pounds dropped, so did the severity of my symptoms. I went from 180 lbs. to 145lbs. My body healed over that year. I had occasional breakouts, but they were much less severe and faded away quickly. As my weight went back to 160, so did the severity of the symptoms.  So, now I am losing weight again (nothing like hs to give me motivation). I am 151 by elimating most white carbs & sugar, eating less calories and walking 15-20,000 steps daily.  My symptoms are not getting better. Now, I am scared. Am I fooling myself or can I diet my way out of this? 

Please share with me your experiences with weight loss because I feel is my only good hope.
