It's more than ok. I'm always glad to read someone getting relief from one of those buggers! In whatever form it may come. Trust me..those "other people" wouldn't think it so off if they had to walk one day in any of our shoes. I know all too well how you feel. Hope it keeps leaking and keeps the pressure off, the pain from that is enough to make you want to chew concrete.

I 100% get what your saying I haven`t even got a bump or anything for a few months and my open sores haven`t been hurting or leaking as much.
But then a few days ago I felt a little pain when I sat on my shower bench and could feel that I was getting a bump on my bottom. It`s been a 3days and the bump is getting bigger and there is no sight of any head any time soon. So I`m going to have to deal with this pain till this puppy breaks open and I scream for joy.
I`m really worried that it will break open when I`m out so I`m wearing extra long liners but I really can`t wait (like you) for this to heal.
I don`t know how people can pop open a hurting bump with a needle when it hurts to just touch a bit. Wish I wasn`t so scared when it came to my HS!

I totally understand the huge RELIEF that comes with getting rid of the pain. To me, the pain from the pressure and tunneling from a new one coming up is the absolute worst. I'd rather just ooze stinky, gross pus that I constantly have to clean up anytime than be immobilized with pain.

You are def not crazy. I love when they pop cuz they dont hurt as much. I even do a happy lil dance :P sometimes i get ones that spray or shoot out gross i kno but i laugh and say bullseye everytime. Then go and clean it up. Its very healthy to laugh at yourself and ur "problems" makes it just a lil easier to deal with.

I'm with all y'all.... The grossness is welcomed with open arms. The sweet relief of Hidradenitis Suppurativa absesses unloading their junk is stellar. It is immediate relief of the most painful part of the disease process! Ahhhhh! I just had that relief about 2 weeks ago, but it's come right back, so now I'm figuring I've got about 2 days to go until I get some relief again! Looking forward to that and hoping that it takes a break because classes start up for me again in just under 2 weeks. It's gotta take a little break for me lol !

Y'all ever notice how these damned things have a mind of their own?
Like when you would expect them to open and start to drain because you think it can't possibly get more painful, they delight in making you wait in a few more days of excruciating pain, and then when you least expect it....whamo, I wake up to bloody sheets, etc. I hate this with a passion. Lmfao @ here2heal i agree. Its like they sit there and taunt you and it pisses me off to no end. I love when they pop outta no where. Sometimes i look down and see my sleeve leakin. I get excited cuz it was a pain free pop ill take those any day.

Oh wow Winged Angel! I can imagine...it's so nasty but sooo relieving.

Thank you for the replies!! I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I am hoping those of you waiting for some to drain have relief soon! Unless I'm messing with mine they usually open without me noticing until I realize I'm leaking. Not painful to open, and the pain gets better. I'm trying not to mess with them because I'm wondering if they're not like zits in that if you squeeze them you squeeze stuff out but you also push stuff IN and then you'll get another one near it when THAT stuff tries to come out. But it is soooo hard to just wait!!! And soooo much better when they're done!!

Side note, I've switched from black underthings to white because I've found the black things fade in spots when they get stuff on them. I just bleach the crap out of my white things. Even white sheets. Bleach is my friend. But black pants are my friend too, lol!

I sooooo understand! I also wear a lot of black shirts and under wear now to avoid the staining. Thinking about going to all black bras too. I definitely dress differently than I used to. Before joining this site I thought that this was an isolated thing. Now I don't feel so alone and weird. Now I know that this is a disease. I have not been diagnosed as of yet. Waiting to go see the Doc again after pay day. He has been saying for some time now that surgery and skin grafts are the cure, but these buggers are in both arm pits, and seem to have no end in sight, spreading through tunnels, one under my breast that finally ruptured. RELIEF!!! So I am worried about going through a surgery and the entire issue not being removed to only have to do it again. So until I am refereed to a specialist, dermatologist to see what they say and also what my insurance says, I will continue to pray.

Antibiotics do nothing but cause me to get a yeast infection on top of my existing infections. I have been dealing with this on and off since 1991. Over the past 4 1/2 to five years they have progressively gotten worse and multiplied. Sure hope that the Doc/Dermatologist that I am referred to know his stuff.
