when mine first started (age of 11 or 12ish I'm 24 now) it was in my arm pits only. this was when I was younger and because I was still a kid I had to follow doctors orders I ended up having a lot of operations. but now that I'm older and have dealt with this a lot more the best I can offer is very warm (not hot hot but warm enough that the heat will last for at least 15 min) moist compresses. as often as possible and when you go to sleep at night, try and keep your arm(s) above your head to "air" them out if your shaving stop, and if your using deodorant stop get some Gold Bond Medicated powder (no baby powder!) Sleeping without a shirt or a tank top may be the best option. Try also using a Acne Body Wash to clean them.

i've posted about this in the past~ it's a post i titled "working for me..." i explain exactly how i care for my HS because that's where i have it too. i just feel like my story gets old if i post it again!

actually, there's a more current post i put up, called "my plan." its more descriptive i think (and easier to find) if you're interested.

the one thing i have to remind myself is that not everyone's treatments will work for everyone else. some people can come off like their remedy will definitely work for you, but there's no way to guarantee they will. sometimes i get responses that are like extra-bold and tell me i get flare-ups because of something i do, when really everyone's different. i have to remember some people are just super-opinionated!

I use the warm Epsom salt compresses myself. Funny enough, I don't get cysts where I shave or put deodorant so I haven't stopped doing either of those things yet. I may have to if it gets worse. I hope you feel better soon :)
