Birth Control & HS

Ok so I just had a thought. I got the Nexplanon arm implant birth control and it has made my face acne go crazy. My HS is also worse than ever right now. I am starting to wonder if the birth control could make HS worse? Has anyone else had any experiences with birth control & HS?

Hi :) I'm 29 and have had HSBC for about 4 years now.
I was put on birth control to slow the symptoms of HD
But all that has happened is that now I mainly get flare ups for a few weeks around my period. It's so painful...
2 weeks of flare ups and 2 weeks of nothing. The birth control has just localised the time of flare ups... hasn't really helped with the symptoms.

I was actually prescribed a BC specifically to try and help with my HS. But it always depends on the person/type of BC

I was put on birth control to help control my HS. It went away in the first few months. Came back (my groin region), but it's not as bad as before the pill, still bad, yes! But nothing like before. Been on BC now for 1.5 years.
