Hi my name is Tianna..I have had HS since I was 13 years old I am now 28 and I am wondering if anyone has tired any natural things to help with flares ups...I use to get them all the time but under my arms, gorin...I started using tea.tree oil arm deodorant which is helping a lot I get a flare up there maybe every six month but under my breast as became my new problem area...as anyone tired anything natural to help reduce or being down flare ups.

Vinegar baths are really helpful. Add 1 cup of vinegar to a tub full of warm water (add more vinegar if you have a big tub). Hop in and make sure the affected areas are in the water. Soak for 30+ minutes, hop out, then pat dry. The vinegar kills germs and helps dry things out while the warm water helps soothe pain.

If you haven't read it, pick up a copy of Tara grant's book "the hidden plague" and give the auto immune protocol diet a try to see if any of the foods you're eating have caused an auto immune response. Any food can be a trigger food even if it never caused a problem in the past. Good luck to you!!

Turmeric! I take two 500mg capsules twice a day. I also use a turmeric cream called Vicco that i found on amazon. Apply the cream before bed and bandage with a non stick pad. They shrink dramatically overnight! I also wash the area with hibicleanse in my daily shower.
