Sometimes that is the only thing that lets me escape from this just for a second. Does alcohol make HS worse?

I only drink 4-5 times a year, when I go out for a big evening, but when I do I tend to drink a lot. I never notice an increase in my flares afterwards.

I think this is one more of those your mileage may vary things though. Diet affects people with HS so differently. I imagine those people whose HS flares badly with sugar or carbs would probably get bad with alcohol, for instance.

I dont drink never have. but Yes Tulip76 is right it probably like all foods depends on what it consists off so rum probably would make you flare more than for instance red wine and you should probably stay clear of wodka. Do make sure that the meds you are taking are able to combine with alcohol!

I wouldn't no, I don't drink...but my husband does, and he's pretty pickled. LOL But it's not doing his liver any good. He doesn't Have HS...maybe that's why! LOL
