Hello Stacey, I have a granddaughter that is dealing with this nightmare too, she will be 16 soon but has had it for at least 4 years now. She just had to have surgery to open up and drain a cyst that had gotten too big to allow to continue. My grand daughter has Downs Syndrome and a heart issue from having Downs. Hi Stacy! I am sorry to hear that you have this as well. If I were you, I would try eliminating the nightshade vegetables first and see if that helps any. Others have suggested using zinc gluconate, turmeric-curcumin, Manuka honey and cinnamon pills, burdock root, bee propolis. I have tried the zinc & turmeric and so far, I have not had much success.
I have had this for about 15 years. Only for the past 4 years have I had it where it would not heal. I was diagnosed with it a few months ago and I have been trying to find something that will help dry it up. It is very painful. I have been on about 8 different rounds of antibotics and steroids over the past few years and the lesions have only spread and grown bigger. Doctors wanted to do surgery, but I am praying that one or two of the home remedies that have helped others will help me. I have wasted so much money on doctors that the least I can do is try these home remedies.
I do pray that you find something to put you in remission soon!

Hi Stacy , I was 8 when I remember getting my first cyst or boil and at about 12 it started getting really bad, I was 25 before I was diagnosed. I tried doxycycline and became allergic to the sun. I am 35 now and am a nurse , I just started a regimien of vitamins and herbs and in 2 days it started to clear up. If you have any sensitivity to medications make sure you tell your doctor and use sunscreen everyday !

Hi Stacey, I got this when I was 14 and now I am 54. I guess its different for everyone on this site, seems to be a lot of people that must have it very severely on this site. It has not been easy, but I have a great life, have had three kids and go about my life for the most part as normal. I use antibiotics and I take pain pills when I really need to. I use things like Witch hazel and Hydrogen peroxide to keep them clean and dry and it helps me. It is never great to hear you have any condition, but this is not life threatening at all. It is not an autoimmune condition like some have stated and it is something that you can manage. The most important thing to realize is that your mind set is everything in life. Some people get Cancer and they give up, others tell themselves it's something they will just fight to get through. The choice is yours how you deal with it. I have never been to therapy for this, I guess I am lucky that I just naturally have a positive attitude. Mine are in my groin area, never kept me from wearing a baking, I just throw on some cute board shorts!
