Hernia Support Group
There are several kinds of hernias, but the all happen when pressure pushes an organ (often the intestine) through a weak spot in a muscle face or wall. Treatment for hernias can be no treatment, to medicines to surgery. Modern surgical methods to treat hernias are much improved over older techniques and recovery times are much shorter.
on the gerd site there are comments about feeling weird symptoms around the chest as well with silent reflux. I think when the esophagus is inflamed you feel it in a lot of places.
The coughing and sore throat sounds like silent reflux.
You need to pay attention to these symptoms, you dont want to chronically have reflux.
Double check with your doctor on the chest issue.
unless you have a large HH you should be able to manage this purely by diet and prop yourself up at night. You need to stop night time refluxing completely.
Work on your diet to prevent further gastritis issues and then prevent the reflux from happening. Gastritis can become chronic very quickly and it is way more challenging to manage than reflux is.
This issue is all about diet and stress reduction.
