Hi I am on Pantoprazole as I have a hiatus hernia and gastritis. I am still getting reflux and a lot of pain. It has really flared up and Im not getting any relief. I am thinking now of asking the doctor to put me on Ranitidine. I also have Gaviscon to take but don,t always take a lot of it. Does it make much difference taking a lot of Gaviscon? Nothing really works and the pain just gets worse. Thanks.
I use gaviscon when needed and also a gastrologist told me to use pepcid for breakthru acid along with what I was taking
Maybe trying something like Nexium or Aciphex will help.
Also be sure you really watch what you eat and stick to water.
