Your thread isn't about working while sick though right? It's about covering up for an absence while yku were out sick yes? So a new job I also take it. I wouldn't recommend outing your treated hcv at a job interview. You have protections once you're hired.
A couple of years ago I was out of work for a while. I have a friend who had his own company so on my resume and in interviews I said that I freelanced for him. It wasn't the most honest way to go about getting a job but it increased my chances since it's much harder to get a job when you're out of work.
