Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

Well I guess I needed more than you guys wishing me luck at work. The first three days went pretty good, so I thought, Until 4:30 today. The boss calls me into her office and gives me a letter, legal letter she says. Seems I am freaking people out at work with my erratic ways!! Needless to say I have been written up for unconditional conduct and insubordination. Hmmmm , just when I thought things were going a little better. Funny thing is I always that a was a pretty nice person until tx took over. Any advice?? Sure could use some!

do they "know"?

have you considered a sit-down with your boss and telling him/her exactly what is going on, i.e. that you are on medication that is affecting youir emotions... you don't even have to say what med or what for.

if things don't go well, threaten to call the american disabilities act and sue them if they fire you while you are ill.

Do you have unemployment insurance there? Same thing happened to my sister. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise!?

As i was writing about this just a day or so...i went ballistic 2-3 months after i completed the Tx. Would you believe it? 90 days later i was off the wall. I have the feeling it was the shock to come off the meds.

Most mind pills get phased out, the dose getting smaller and smaller. The one they to the next stoppage may created a chemical imbalance, so i am not surprised. Was taken almost a year to really get well mentally.

Rass, yes the know all about the hepc and tx. I have been off the meds for about a year now and things are still going on in my head. We did have a sit down and it didn't help.
Ganga, yes we have UI here but they only pay about 55%. Can't survive on that.
Reminder, yes I believe it.

Ever consider meds? I couldn't keep a job if not for AD's and benzo's. I hate taking them but without them I would never last as an office drone.

I'm so sorry. I have never had treatments so far, but from everything I hear, they change a person forever. I worked until 2 years after my transplant. That's when my boss found out that I not only had the transplant because I had a cancerous tumor, but because I had Hep C. I worked through an agency doing companion care for the elderly. I was doing my job just fine. We were placed at times with people who have Hep C, but she didn't want to keep me on since I had it. Now my only income is SS, and my son pays my rent. I don't like depending on one of my kids, but he is glad to help. I still don't like it. Bestshot, you are in my prayer journal, and I'll keep praying for you. Marilyn

Sorry to hear about this but maybe there's a silver lining ? The working world is horrible nowadays as administrative jobs are so competitive. Best wishes...

so sorry.... it is hard to work for someone who is scared and doesn't empathize... I think maybe he is the one who isn't well here....
