Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
What you are experiencing can be from the treatment meds and, at this point in your treatment, I can only suggest that you keep in contact with your doctor about it and try to get through the next 3 weeks of treatment as best you can. Maybe your doc will want to increase your dose of anti-depressants (if you are on them).
You might continue to experience the panic attacks for months after treatment stops so don't expect it to end as soon as treatment ends because it takes months to get all the meds out of your system.
Best of luck to you! At this point, just hang in there and try to ride the panic attacks out as best you can - and tell your doc. If he "thinks you're a liar or weirdo" then that's HIS problem but at least you are telling him and asking him for help.
Hope the best for you
