am I the only one here on Harvoni ....scary LOL

NO hun there are more guess they just are lazy...lol No I am about 2 months into Harvoni NO side effects at all !! Suppose to be on it 24 weeks BUT after a week and did some blood work I before had a over the amount of viral load to 4 million. Well only after taking it ONE week the results came back for my viral load count as 20. I was like one week what the heck is this 20 hmmm......... anyway the blood work tells all right? Well I said this in another post that I thought my gastro doctor was ALSO a hepotoligist cause when I made an appointment with him they told me "YES" he was and he treats Hep C. Well when I went back for that blood work results I could see when I asked him some Hep C questions that he couldn't answer me. He would stick his head in a laptop and try to fake it which was a lot of "I don't know". So of course the red flags came up and I looked him up ( which yes I should have earlier) and he was just a gastro dr. GREAT !! there are 3 of them in practice together at 2 different offices . Out of the 3 only one is a "liver specialist" . So now completely sure how I am going to go about it but definetly need to transfer to the liver specialist. Sorry about my babbling but I wanted you to feel not "scared" and that you were NOT the only one on it .......LOL Relax . How are you doing with the Harvoni ?????

Opps forgot to say I am suppose to take Harvoni for 24 weeks but this only gastro dr said he might make it 12 weeks cause my viral count is so low. Well I don't want to go off of it to soon so I will check with the REAL gastro/hepaotogist and get a second opinion.....Good luck!!!

i have done okay just finishing wk 12 ,I have previously failed 3 tx. the last being a triple with a protease inhibitor so they want me to go 24 just wondering if side increase as I go on .Brain fog ,pains in the lower legs and a few headachs all i can report

i started with a relitivly low viral load 750,000 at wk 4 it was detected less then 15 all function tests normal first time in decades alt and ast both normal range .Again at wk 8 ast and alt normal range will do viral load and function tests again nxt wk thanks for the response

I finished an 8 wk course in July. Currently SVR. Recent labwork showed ALT and AST well down into the normal range. Harvoni is a miracle!

I am at 17 weeks into a 24 week tx of Sov/riba .even with the Riba my redcounts ,platelets and white count are all dropping and my bilirubin is climbing up ..
My viral load was almost 5 million,and by 2 weeks dropped to undetected not >15 ml but undetected.
I have geno 3 and stage 4 crirhossis and the cure rates were 68-75% for geno 3 but my doctor said she has never seen anyone drop from 5 million to 0 in two weeks so says I can be looking at 75% ++
I failed Tx twice already ..
you sides sound similar to mine ..legpains ,headaches and brainfog ..lol but they are NO worse since the beginning

I am on Harvoni. No side effects . On my second month. Did riba and interfuren,48 weeks. Horrible.

Donald, definitely go the 24. For those who've had multiple treatments & cirrhosis, 24 is way to go. Glad you are getting rid of the virus.

thank you Trissa,its been pretty smooth ride so far,Barb9999999 ,how long are you going 24?I guess what I am hopeing for are responses from those who have done 24 wks or on the back half of it

Trissa I was less then fifteen at wk 4 alt and ast normal range since then as well

Did 12 weeks doc/rib relapsed. Did 24 weeks of same that took care of it. If you've relapsed on any tx they should make 24 weeks standard. Peace

Most everyone is undetectable down to 15 by week four. That only means person is responding, it dies not indicate cure till the after treatment test, to remain undetected is most important. For us hardcore, 24 weeks of treatment has best result.

Hi Donald, Trixie, Lisa, Jan, Barb, Tissa I am starting my Harvoni treatment tomorrow. I have a low viral load and boarder line cirrhosis. I never had treatment before. I just found out last January. I am going to do 12 weeks. I am glad I was able to be approved for funding for Harvoini because I have major depression. So I won't have any depression from it like I have read about in the older treatments. So glad to hear you have done so well. Barb :)
