i've been here a long time too, tho i dont come on so much now, but just to say 'welcome to the misfits' lol
if having hep c makes you a misfit, then i guess all us other heppers are misfits too. lol
whatever the case, you will fit in here cos we're all here with the same problem. we all are gonna start tx, doing tx now or finished tx, sometimes more than once. some have cleared, some have not, but we're all here for each other and there's a wealth of information and advice on here for the asking.
get strong, get positive and start smiling cos laughter does relieve stress and stress can make us feel worse.

Diagnosis and treatment make us all feel this way. It was much harder on my psyche then I had expected. You are not alone.

I don't feel broken or a misfit. I feel more like the old toy that was loved so much that some of the stuffing has come out. I'm so grateful to be here. Really. At 54 I've lost a lot of friends. If HCV is what I got for whatever reason then that's a small price to pay for the love I have given and recieved. So far life's been one hell of a ride.

Please remind me of this next month when I start tx. ;)

I have never felt like I fit in. When I was young I was too dumb for the smart kids and too smart for the dumb kids. I was too wild for the good kids and too good for the wild kids. It was all in my mind, but I didn't know that then. Now when I feel that way I just tell my inner screwed up child to shut the hell up.

Most of us w/HCV feel like a misfit. I still have it and still won't date. Isn't that odd? I just cant seem to come out of the dating shell. It affects us all in some way or another. Stick around, we will all be here for you!

I find that I tend to fit in best when I am all alone.
