Hi Everyone-

Man I'm not having a good day. I've had this nagging pain in my right side and not to be gross a lot of gas. My stomach is so bloated!! I also have one heck of a time trying to go to the bathroom. I'm sorry if I'm being graphic I don't mean too. Does anyone else have this problem? Every since I found out that I have the virus I started having these pains in my stomach most of the time its on my right side but it does travel to my left side. My husband was laughing at me and said it was in my head.

I've been weaning myself off of tramadol that I've taking for my lower back pain (degenerative disc disease). I cut down everyday a little and today was the first day without anything. The last fews day I took 1/2 of one in the morning. I feel every freaking little pain in my body!! Could my lower back pain travel to my front? or right side? Or am I just experiencing withdrawals? Ugh!! I think I need to go back and read my positive post that I wrote yesterday because I'm not feeling too positive today.

Lisa, hey there! Yes! The liver is a big thing, it weighs 4 pounds and it can cause a huge amount of pain. Especially worrying about it.

Try breathing into the pain and then releasing it with your exhales, and loving your body, and comforting it.

tramadol is an opiate, right? Of course you have pain if you've lowered the dose. Now you're feeling even more pain because your pain receptors are more sensitive due to real pain and the fact that you're coming off opiates. It is withdrawls. I'm an addict. Even people who aren't addicts, if you take that stuff for more than 3 consecutive days in a row, you will have withdrawl symptoms. This will last 1-2 weeks and you'll have sleepless nights, but in 2 weeks you'll be 100%.

Yes friend, I have the same problems and I have a hard time drinking water but after awhile it does help...Stay strong...

Lisa, the pain could be from withdrawals, but it could also be something else. From what you wrote you may want to have your gallbladder checked. I had pain in my right side and bloating but I did not pay any attention to it. I figured it was side effects from the Hep C, until one night when I woke up in terrible pain and had my husband take me to the ER. I ended out having emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder before it ruptured. So don't play with your health. If the pain is not going away then go to the doctor to make sure all is well.

Is there a particular reason why you are weaning yourself off the meds for you DDD.

I too have a narcotic medication I take for several health issues, one of them being DDD, and if I am late, for example in the middle of the night, if it's pass my dose time, I feel the withdrawls already.

Muscle hurts real bad.

My DDD actually gives me pain to all of my left side including, well especially my left hip, leg.....

So again is there a particular reason you quitting your pills.

Cause in fact the liver can hurt, but the surrounding area, can be painful with hep c, but the liver itself cannot create pain.

Lisa, I had pains under my right rib cage and in the center of my back like a knife stabbing me. I went to the Doc. had tests and it was my Gallbladder. I was told to not eat spicy food,greasy and fried foods. I kept having the real bad pains and went back and had the Gallbladder removed.Go to the Doc. so many things could be wrong. Also appendix.(spelled wrong)Good luck.
