Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Since on Harvoni for 16 weeks now I have not had any issue such as what you mention. Just slight headache once in awhile. I refuse,to take any meds for anything other than Hep C. after five tries at tx since 1991 I hope it's the last meds I'll ever have to take.
Not sure how long I've had it but I suspect that it could be for many years before first being diagnosed in 1991. I to am in my early sixties and hope to be around for many more although it's kind of unpredictable since I have been cirrhosis for a long time.
You're welcome to check out the healthy living group I started in 08, for people doing what I was doing: trying to stay healthy while waiting for a good treatment.
