Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
On treatment, you may feel differently. You may want to eat differently. You need to do what feels best for you when you are on treatment. Its temporary, don't worry about it.
If your emotions seem unusual, talk to your doctor. Some people go on a short term anti depressant. If you seem to have mood swings at all, remember it is temporary, caused by the meds, and it will soon be over.
Enter ribavirin in your search bar. There are several sites, Wikipedia, nlm.nih.gov, etc.
Go to my profile, scroll down to ""journal".
Hit one, anyone.... A new page opens.... On the right, you will see a blue box titled "journal entries" with months & years listed, making it easier to go back in time.
Hit May 2014.
but am on meds for those issues. Actually I am finally doing so much better with anxiety /depression as a general rule, compared to first half of my life. I did briefly look for your journals before, when you offered to me to look but did not find it. So, now I can probably with no problem, since you explained on this thread , how to do it. Really, thanks a million. :)
it feels like one of the many blessings I get in life, that as I say angels here on earth come into my life to give blessings when i need it most. one time I was having an anxiety attack thinking about a plane flight the next day and met a woman in line at grocery store who gave a great calming vibe............and told me a thing she does for anxiety which had to do with pressure points on the wrists. it actually helped keep me together the next day on the trip (it was my first time flying after 9/11) thanks for the blessings I will keep looking for those and it reminds me to do the same.
peace
During my treatment, I did not gain weight. Afterwards I did, but I think it was either I was feeling better or I had a newly diagnosed hypthyroidism - the kind that makes you gain weight & still trying to
get the right dose of medication for that.
Trissa said some great things to help you. At times I felt like a nutcase and sometimes still do....
I would do this treatment again as the outcome far outweighs any undesirable effects. Some people do great on Sovaldi/riba.
Harvoni is similar but NOT exactly the same thing.
Can't say anything about Harvoni as I have never taken it.
Good luck and God Bless!!
