If you start to have any serious complications, see your Dr.
Once I stop treatment, how long will I have the medication in my system? On average, it takes about 1 month for PEGASYS to be eliminated from the body. Younger patients may be able to excrete it more rapidly, while those individuals with impaired kidney function may take longer to remove it. Ribavirin may be present up to 6 months after cessation of therapy, which is why pregnancy should be avoided for 6 months after the end of your treatment. Telaprevir stays in the body for approximately 2 days after you stop taking it.
I sometimes think the hep drs AND their staff should have to do treatment for a few months to really get to know what they're talking about, and how we would like to be treated & understood.
I felt no different after 2 weeks, took 4 weeks to really see a change, now 4 months later my aches and pains are going down...
